Volunteer Your Time
Volunteers generously volunteer their time and skills to raise much needed funds and provide essential support to The Perth Blood Institute.
The Perth Blood Institute provides a unique opportunity for you to volunteer and help us take one step closer for new treatments and interventions to prevent, detect or manage blood disorders and blood conditions.
Together with other advocates we can build links to provide the highest standard of care to people diagnosed with blood disorders and the ability to involve them in ‘state of the art’ clinical trials and translational research.
Volunteers make a real and positive difference to the lives of people with blood disorders and their families. Volunteers play an active role in fundraising on our behalf, running their own events as well as promoting The Perth Blood Institute events within our community. Volunteers assist at sausage sizzles, corporate breakfast events even in the office providing general duties and assisting with mailouts.
To be eligible to become a volunteer for The Perth Blood Institute, you must be over 18 years or older. Volunteers are required to have a National Police Clearance Certificate. An interview will be conducted with the relevant reference checks. Also, as part of the recruitment process, volunteers will be given information, orientation, training, support, health and safety considerations and recognition as would be expected from an organisation which highly values and respects volunteer commitment.
Principles of volunteering:
Organisations need stable, healthy communities in which to prosper and volunteers play a key role in developing and maintaining healthy communities.
If you are interested in joining The Perth Blood Institute as a volunteer, Please contact Adriana Filippou on (08) 9200 4904 or email adriana@pbi.org.au or complete the Volunteer Registration Form (click below button) to register.
